All Wellis® Holiday Let Tubs come heat pump ready and when your new hot tub is installed with an air source heat pump, the ‘65% renewable energy rule’ is already fulfilled, because up to 75% of the energy used to run your hot tub comes from air, which is green energy. 

We have tested the Cordoba Holiday Let Spa with a 7kW air source heat pump between 5 January 2024 – 4 February 2024 for 31 days in Worthing, West Sussex. We also tested our other fast heater options, the 3kW heater, 11.5kW heat pump and the 25kW heat exchanger (which is connected to a gas boiler). 

All Wellis® tubs come with a 2kW / 3kW smart heater, where the chosen fast heater option could be connected. We also sell Hot Tub Packages with the air source heat pump, cover lifter and spa steps included.

For the 7kW air source heat pump testing, the Cordoba was drained every Friday (change-over day), 4 times in one month and the most kWh was used on those days as the water needed to be heated up from 12 °C to 38 °C.

With a 7kW air source inverter heat pump:
the average daily heating costs came to £1.77
and the total monthly running costs for the hot tub came to $54.95.
